Hair chameleon Beyoncé
Knowles is famous for her
ever-hanging hair but I never
thought the Halo singer would
be so bold and go for the Miley
Cyrus chop!
Beyoncè has been blessed with
a voluptuous figure of
irresistible curves and in my
opinion this suits a longer hair
style as it helps to balance out
her body shape.
However Queen B is one the
most stunning females in the
world and absolutely pulls off
this nifty pixie cut.
I tend to design this short-
cropped look on women with
small frames and petite
features.
At the Andrew Barton Salon a
consultation starts with the
client standing up so we can
evaluate her body shape.
Throughout the hair decades,
many celebrities have opted
for this sophisticated look
including Kate Moss, Kylie and
Sharon Stone proving it has the
potential to suit a variety of
women.
The somewhat casual look can
easily be transformed into
smart demure and sexy looks
great with a pair of heels and
skinny jeans.
The clipped back look can be
easily managed and has
definitely taken a few years off
the diva to give her a fresh and
young look.
The problem with this
courageous look is that is lacks
versatility.
You need products to keep this
daring style exciting, eye-
catching and striking.
Short hair can easily look flat
and fluffy; add texture and
definition use a spray gel like
the Andrew Barton Big Hair
Lifting Juice (image attached)
available exclusively at Asda.
This will add volume, body and
provide a glossy separation to
the strands of hair.
A few sprays and you are
ready to go, this cut embodies
minimal styling.
Being relatively low
maintenance it's quick to wash
and style so tends to suit
people with busy and sporty
lifestyles.
Nevertheless, low maintenance
or not, this kind of hair-raising
chop is not for the faint
hearted.
It can be a huge leap of faith
for a woman to slash off her
gorgeous long tresses and
having trust in your hairdresser
is vital.
I'm not a believer that there is
a certain age that determines
this kind of alternation.
I do know that changing your
hair so radically can be
empowering and help you
project a whole new image of
yourself.
Who knows, maybe Queen B
wants a new name? In my
opinion, I don't think it will be
long before Beyoncè returns to
her wild tousled mane.
