Miley Cyrus' former Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 "Wrecking Ball" smashes through to No. 1 on the Nielsen BDS-based Pop Songs radio airplay chart, marking the song's latest chart-topping honor. The ballad crowned the Hot 100 for two weeks and the Nielsen SoundScan-fueled Digital Songs chart the week of Sept. 28; it's sold 2.3 million downloads. It led the BDS-based Streaming Songs survey for six
weeks.

Billboard.com.) Cyrus' prior single, "We Can't Stop," reached No. 9 on Pop Songs and spent a record 11 weeks atop Streaming Songs. The songs' parent album, "Bangerz," debuted atop the Oct. 26 Billboard 200 with 270,000 copies sold. It's moved 450,000 in its first five weeks.

"Ball" marks Cyrus' second Pop Songs No. 1. "Party in the U.S.A." ruled the Nov. 7, 2009, ranking. "Ball" additionally becomes Cyrus' second Adult Pop Songs top 10 (12-10); "The Climb" peaked at No. 5
in 2009.

AVICII, HARRIS 'UP': As it cedes the Pop Songs summit to Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" after three weeks on top, Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" rises 2-1 on Adult Pop Songs. The song is a landmark leader on the latter list, as Avicii becomes the first core EDM act to reach No. 1. With its blend of dance and folk elements, and vocals by Aloe Blacc, the track has crossed radio format, as well as genre, barriers. It likewise made Avicii the first EDM artist to top the adult alternative Triple A chart, which it led for four frames.

With 10 weeks atop Dance/Mix Show Airplay, "Wake" tied Calvin Harris' "Let's Go," featuring Ne-Yo, for the longest reign by a lead male in the chart's 10-year history. Harris prevents "Wake" (1-2) from besting the record, as the former's "Thinking About You," featuring Ayah Marar, jumps 3-1.

"Thinking," which enters Pop Songs at No. 39, is Harris' fifth Dance/Mix Show Airplay No. 1. 'UN'-BELIEVABLE: Katy Perry's.

"Unconditionally"
climbs 11-9 on Pop Songs to become her 13th top 10 on the tally. With the ascent, Perry ties Christina Aguilera for ninth place among artists with the most top 10s in the chart's 21-year history; Rihanna leads with 23.
