When we entered the Ember months we told you it was award season and guess what? The biggest Nigerian music awards for 2013 has been announced. The famous Headies yellow carpet will be rolled out a day after Christmas with Tiwa Savage and Dr SID as hosts. According to the organizers of the awards, both Tiwa and Dr. Sid were selected in line with the awards' tradition of picking talented and inspiring entertainers, to host the awards ceremony which parades some of the continent's biggest entertainers. Tiwa and SID who are coincidentally label mates at Mavin Records, were (first time)
winners at awards show in 2012 and 2011. Tiwa won the 'Best Vocal Performance (Female)' while Dr SID took the awards for 'Best Pop Single' and 'Revelation of the Year'. The Headies 2013 will hold on December 26 at the Grand Ball Room of the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.
