U.S. grandma goes to jail for drug ring

Theresa Anderson, a grandmother, from New York, U.S.A was sentenced to 15 years in prison for conspiring to distribute crack cocaine, Miami Herald reports. Anderson, who enlisted members of her family into her drug ring, claimed that she had been addicted to drugs since she was 14-years-old and many of her poor decisions were made because of her addiction. Anderson was arrested along with three daughters, son, two of her daughters' boyfriends, granddaughter and common law husband. Authorities have seized nine houses and $50 000 from the organization that the family ran. Read more at Miami Herald
