If theres one thing like about Jesse Jagz he always like to speak is mind... Jesse Jagz who just won the ‘Lyricist on the Roll’ award at the recently held Headies, has come out to decry the state of Nigerian music and the nation at large. It is obvious that the Nigerian music scene is filled with dance songs that in most cases hold no meaning and do not reflect the current strife in the nation. The singer shared that he was a bit concerned that there was a lot if not too much dancing and not enough reflecting at the event. Of course this also a subtle jab at the state of the Nigerian music industry. See his tweets below.
"Nigerians deserve the best in life. Electricity, water, good roads.... and music. I promise to always do that".
"I watched the headies.. too much dancing in a country that's going thru so much. We musicians are the guardians of society."
"We need to stop always thinking that things will be better.. we are the change. Things will never change".
"With all the martial law and police action against africans around the world.. I wonder when we ever thought we where free".
"Ebola has come and gone. There was no serum given to africans. The whole world left us to die.. so what where we being distracted from???"
"They tell us ebola is from bats and sh*t... but where did Patrick sawyer, an AMERICAN Liberian get it from??"
