In 2014, some entertainers went the extreme to make sure the year didn’t pass without them getting noticed. Some did it through their works and many others through controversy.

The birth of social media has changed a lot of things and the way some stars used it in 2014, was much more than any promotion or promoter would have done for them. Here are a few people who constantly stole the headlines.

2baba was in the news for months promoting his sixth studio album ‘Ascension’. The album which was moderately successful saw 2face changing his name to 2baba.

The twins where in the news for their internal feud which threatened the break up of the biggest group in Africa. The brothers misunderstanding was giving wide media coverage and it remained one of the biggest stories of the year.

Maybe everybody hates Wizkid. The hit maker and Starboy CEO came under heavy fire this year. Different stars accused him of being fake and proud.

The biggest was his beef with Davido and the accusation by singer Saeon. As the attacks on him multiplied, he still managed to release hit songs.

The self acclaimed goddess of X was very visible this year. She kept drawing attention by uploading nude photos of herself on twitter and instargram. Maheeda who is famous for her raunchiness, became an internet sensation.

 

The controversial attack on linda Ikeji by Ayedee was the biggest internet breaker in the Nigerian space this year. After restoring her blog google two days after it was brought down, Linda Ikeji’s influence and power once again was re-stated.
