Don’t be fooled into believing that Nigerian stars are as celebrated as their American counterparts. If you are one of those who believe in all these media hype, then I’m sorry to burst your bubble, most Nigerian celebs are as fake as they come.

Most of the hypes you see online and on TV are paid PR stunts to make you feel that they are making money and living large. It is only a handful of celebs that are really comfortable in the industry, don’t be fooled by the beautiful girls you see in their videos, big mansions and flashy cars. Even the blings they wear are mostly fake and borrowed.

This is not to say that there are no established stars in Nigeria that are doing well and celebrated within and outside the country, but we have seen situations where celebs were attacked on social media for posting fake jewellery, fake Rolex and all what not. We have also seen celebrated stars purchase properties on loan and mortgage.

Entertainment is all about make believe. You have to create that larger than life image, that ‘I don arrive’ appearance that will make people respect you. So before you get fooled by some of these paid papparazzi stunts, remember I told you the truth first
