Some months back, Jermaine Jackson, one of the elder brothers of the late pop king of pop, Micheal Jackson, visited Lagos, Nigeria for a recording with the singing duo, Psqaure.
He further met with members of the band including dance queen Kaffy, a happy mum of two and one of Nigeria’s best dancers.
In an interview with Tribune Newspaper, the dance Queen revealed that when he met her, he didn’t stop[ starring at her as he marveled at her striking resemblance to Micheal Jackson.
” ….when I met him, he said, “You have a look like my sister. You cut the picture of my sister,” he said. Coming from a Jackson, I felt it was a great honour. It is a great honour to be compared with him. Everybody says I look like Michael. ”
Still in the interview, the high spirited dancer revealed that she always wakes up with pains everyday!
“I get tired sometimes. Like right now, my body aches. I wake up everyday with body aches. I take painkillers sometimes. And there are some pains that may require strong painkillers, especially those that might put me out of work the next day. I fight them specially with strong painkillers. But the regular muscle pains don’t just go, I always have them.”
On growing up, she said “It was simply tough. On many occasions, we didn’t have money to buy food. There was a time we didn’t have money to pay my school fees. I dropped out of secondary school until my school fees were paid. I also had to borrow textbooks from my neighbour’s children . One thing that governed my life was the principle of no excuse. As we no get money to enter school, me talk say school must enter me. Those days, my parents had difficulties raising money for my school fees, I went to my friends to read their notes. By the time they had money to put me in school, I was already up to date with the syllabus.”
